Stick and Rudder

This years Flying Legends was as good as last years, even without the TFC aircraft taking part due to being grounded by the CAA for whatever reason. A lot of TFC friends in the warbird world came to the shows rescue.
There were so many great act this year, its hard to say who was man of the match !! I think they were all great in their own right. From the 'Horsemen' to the Fw 190, SeaFury's and B-25 Mitchells to the Yaks. I could go on all night
how great it was, but there is no need. This was a 'Classic' show beyond any doubt. The weatherman got it wrong, and although we had rain in the morning of the Saturday show, that was it. I Think we did well all things considered.
I think the only 'Bib' would be the 'Yappers' over the public address system who ruined the sound of V12s as normal.
Think Christ the airshow DVD gets rid of an episode of 'Hello Hello'. Next year will be out in the fields. I linked up with friends from the UK, Holland and the USA and had a great time and cannot wait till next year.

Nice shots Peter, don't wait for me post straight away, no problem. I thought Dennis would be the first, but thinking about it, I think he and his Lady were catching up on some sleep, that must have been along friday/saturday for them, and then into sunday and R.I.A.T. this weekend. Had a great weekend myself, nice meeting fellow ASB/stickandrudders in person. Had to leave early sunday due to phone call from home, but by the time I got home the panic was over, but at least I got to see the 'Horsemen', Yaks, and the Fw 190 fly !!
I don't care if its a new-build, it looked 'bloody good' to me and so grateful someone had the 'bottle' to re-create
an extinct warbird of an era long gone. In fact despite the TFC aircraft not taking part, I thought they did very well giving us a great show with so many good acts in their own right. I even had a 'pressy' from Dennis, roaded in from my favourite europian Country, Holland. I did manage two, before the 'lads' at work demolished
them. All in all enjoyed myself after a 'crap' two-weeks for me and my family, and was the perfect setting for me to escape, and where better to be, with my friends at 'Fightertown' and the field of dreams.

Good to meet you Gary (I'm still chuffed at spotting you on the sidelines even though you looked a bit worried for a second) and thanks for the beer. I only deserted the wife for two hours and think I got away with it!
I resisted the temptation to post first as its your site but here's a few of my pics.
