No, but if things do start moving, I think Barry will tell us. I.W.M. 'ducked' out some months ago, because they are 'skint', so think the Cosford people are in on this one.

10 bucks say's in order to 'dig' you will have to 'pay' the 'local' TIGHAR a 'modest fee !!. One question I asked was if the local TIGHAR rep, who now is 'sole' owner of the aircraft from the MoD, is liable, should the remaining fuel onboard 'spill' and damage the 'landscape' and 'kill/harm' the 'birdlife' in he area, it all went very 'Hmmmm' so if I was you, dig, nothing-up, because you could get 'stroked' for the cleaning-up operation, and that will not come cheap !! And does your insurance fall into 'dangerous pastimes' ? . Always read the 'small-print'. Because I've been told elsewhere, in the world of people in the 'know', that should things go wrong, it could be very 'expensive' for the 'owner' group members, and any 'well-wishers' also !! Why do you thing, I have not gone down there, with me bucket and spade !! Heath and Safety is what they call it !!

Elf and safety pins? I can divert the pink hi-viz vest I was sending to Kaye if that'll help? ;o)
And your skyscraper steps will spot any Tiggers coming over the dunes!.......

Thanks to Peter for 'posting' the letter from Barry, which led to a 'response' from Moxie1 on ASB, in that it now appears that, the said 'oufit' does not have a ticket to raise this aircraft. Me thinks contact with the USAM is next for us !! Joint-effort ? AAM Duxford, then USAM later ? Hmmmmmmm.............. Wonder if Barry knows all this !!

Maybe they need to change their name from TIGHAR to NEVHAR.....

If this bunch are so useless at recovering wrecks why are they allowed to make themselves sound so central to aircraft recovery - why hasn't some organisation of note called them out on their bullshit?

I think someone is telling 'pork-pies' !! So I think its an e-mail to the Mod and USAFM to get the facts on this. The only casualty as far as I can see in all of this, is the submerged aircraft, awaiting rescue !! lets 'sniff' alot further afield, and see what we can find out. Funny how the UK rep has gone to 'ground'. From what I can make out, they ask for donations under the guise of recovering wrecks, but all that happens, is they get to 'survey' exotic locations !! at someone elses 'expense'. Not on my 'shift' !!
